From his childhood in the 1930s, when he collected Hollywood fan mags and publicity photos, Andy Warhol was obsessed with glamour, style and fashion. After moving to New York in 1949 he soon made his mark in the world of advertising and commercial art and when he turned to fine art in the 1960s, fashion and commercial imagery continued to pervade his work.
