Born in Toronto. Studied: Central Technical School under Schaefer, Haworth and Wyle. Served with Canadian Army and during free time studied watercolour with John Carlson. Won first prize at National Gallery, London, show. Went to Paris, studied abstract expressionism under André Paul (landscape work became freer). Returned to Canada settled in Montreal 1946. Known for landscapes, seascapes, street scenes of Toronto & Montreal. Exhibitions in Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Quebec City, Winnipeg, New York, London (UK). [MacDonald.
