Ernest Alfred Dalton [1887-1963] was born in Brixton, England. Immigrated to Canada in 1924 and settled in Toronto. A successful artist in his day, painted country scenes, rural landscapes, farm buildings and Ontario landscapes. Exhibited with the Royal Canadian Academy and was an associate of the Ontario College of Art. Work was acquired by numerous private and corporate collections across Canada.
