George Feyer was born in Hungary in 1921 and 1948 came to Toronto.
He submitted his first gag cartoon to Maclean’s in 1949, showing a man being fitted for glasses. After that Feyer became a fixture in the magazine for 15 years, evolving into one of Canada’s best and most prolific cartoonists.
The Man in the Red Flannel Suit, a caustic look at Santa Claus and the commercialization of Christmas was George Feyer's only book ever published.
